What Is Rhinoplasty and What Is the Recovery Process?

So rhinoplasty is essentially a surgery directed toward changing the shape of your nose. This is an important operation that each patient needs to really think about and we will break down your goals to meet them as best we can.

The nose is right in the middle of the face, so it's something that we have to be very delicate with and this is a game of millimeters. The goal of any rhinoplasty is to improve the aesthetics of the nose in correlation with the goals that you have set in place. You can expect that there will be significant swelling after an operation like this and it can take upwards of three months to have that swelling kind of hit a baseline. But what we do know is that in one year, you'll have your final results. This is something that I want you to anticipate, although I want you to be excited about the new nose that you can have after a rhinoplasty.

Blepharoplasty

What is Blepharoplasty?

As you age, your eyelids begin to droop and you develop puffy bags under your eyes. These features can make you look old and tired, and they can even interfere with your vision. Blepharoplasty is a procedure that removes fat, excess skin, and muscle from the eyelids to correct these issues. Blepharoplasty can be a stand-alone procedure, but it is often done in conjunction with a facelift, brow lift, or other facial surgery procedure.

Who are the best candidates?

How Does Blepharoplasty Improve My Appearance?

Blepharoplasty is a fancy word for an eyelid lift. This is an operation where we're focusing on the skin and fat of the upper eyelid. We also have an opportunity to perform blepharoplasty on the lower eyelid as well, and often this focuses a little bit more on fat herniation that may exist or excess skin.

This is an operation I love to do. And often, I tell people it's one of these ones that give you the biggest bang for your buck because you will see immediately that rejuvenated and refreshed look and maybe even get that comment from your friend, “You look so much livelier or more refreshed these days.”

This is an operation that, based on the complexity of what your goals are, sometimes we can do in the operating room, or we can do here in our procedure suite. Again, this is something we would love to talk to you about in consultation.
